Frankie’s is a family-run business which focuses on traditional values, friendly service, and delicious home-made quality food. Frankie has a background in gastronomics and was raised on a Brazilian coffee farm. She later ran and ‘chef-ed’ for a string of coffee shops in Brazil. Her knowledge of foods and juices for health is extensive and her family recipes have been passed down through generations. Jack is Whittards-trained in tea and coffee with the tearoom having a selection of each, and both Frankie and Jack are extremely creative with their flavoured coffees and desserts.

The tearooms are somewhat unusual, not only in the proprietors' backgrounds and specialisms but where else in the world would you find a traditional tearoom, themed on the '40s, that is half-English, half-Brazilian, and offers a range of health foods usually only available in Brazil, along with your usual tasty (and deliciously unhealthy?) tearoom treats?

Our Forties theme is extremely popular and we have had several bookings for Forties-themed piano parties. Jack has had an interest in the era for many years and various artefacts from that period are displayed in the tea room, including a newspaper dated January 5th, 1940. So make like Gary Sparrow and pay us a visit 1940s style. Even if that’s not quite your bag, we promise that the food, the ambience and the warm welcome will be.
