Tom will not allow
his music nor his voice
to be used to advertise products.  Audi and Opel both disregarded his wishes and used sound-alikes and he successfully sued them both.  Fritos thought they could get away with it but he was awarded $2.4m damages against them.  Ironically, they had used his song Step Right Up which was written as a forthright indictment of the advertising industry in general.
